Export Halal Products from Malaysia to Türkiye (Turkey)
Istanbul hosts the World Halal Summit and Halal Expo each year. In November 2026 Malaysian companies can exhibit and meet buyers at the Malaysia International Halal Pavilion, 24–28 November 2026.
Why Istanbul is a gateway market
The organisers position the pavilion as access to Türkiye, Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. The 2025 edition of the World Halal Summit and Halal Expo reported about 500 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries, 31,842 visitors from 113 countries, and 500 international buyers. The 2026 summit runs 25–27 November at the Istanbul Expo Center under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.

Export checklist for Malaysian halal companies
- Halal certification: confirm that your certificate is accepted for your product in Türkiye and check any accreditation requirements with the relevant Turkish authority.
- Food safety compliance: Türkiye enforces its own food codex and inspection system, so check ingredient, additive and labelling rules.
- Turkish-language labelling and importer details on pack.
- Import documents and customs classification: confirm the HS code, duties and any product registration.
- Distributor plan: shortlist importers and retail chains before you fly.
- Samples and pricing in landed-cost terms.
Import rules, halal recognition, labelling and duties change by product and over time. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant authority, your certifying body and your freight forwarder.
